Sarah Parnell Philpot Scholarship

The Sarah Parnell Philpot Scholarship was established in 2023 by Laura Philpot to provide scholarships to traditional and/or non-traditional age students who attended West Davidson High School in Davidson County, N.C.

Serena D. Dalton Scholarship Fund

Established in 1977 by the estate of Serena D. Dalton to provide scholarships to residents of Forsyth County

Sergeant Mickey Hutchens Leadership Scholarship

Established in 2009 by Bethene L. Hutchens, in memory of her husband, Sergeant Mickey Hutchens, who served as a police officer with the Winston-Salem Police Department for 27 years and was killed in the line of duty.  This scholarship may provide two awards each year; one to a graduating high school senior from a Forsyth County High School who is a dependent child of a first responder in Forsyth or Davidson counties, and one award to a graduating high school senior from Forbush High School in Yadkin County.

Shaun Edward Stewart Scholarship

Established in 2013 by Bonnie Stewart, in honor of her son, Shaun Stewart, to provide scholarships to graduating high school seniors in Forsyth County

Sonja Southern Nursing Scholarship

Established by Steven D. and Sonja M. Southern in 2022 to support students who attended high school in Forsyth County, NC and reside in North Carolina to attend a nursing program at a two or four-year college, university, technical school, or a diploma nursing school seeking a degree in nursing.

Star of Hope Scholarship

The Star of Hope Scholarship was established in 2019 to provide scholarships to Forsyth County students who have been victims of a serious crime and who will pursue degrees from accredited two or four-year post-secondary institutions.

Stella B. Johnson Scholarship Fund

Established in 1987 by Helen Johnson McMurray, in memory of her mother, Stella B. Johnson, to provide scholarships to students in Forsyth County

Stephen L. Williams Sees You Scholarship

Established by Stephen L. Williams and friends in 2022 on the occasion of his 55th birthday to provide scholarships for African American residents of Forsyth County N.C. who will attend a post-secondary Historically Black College or University (HBCU).

Stultz Scholarship Fund

Established in 1982 by the estate of Lillian S. Stultz to provide scholarships to students in Forsyth County

Susan and Charles Hauser Scholarship Fund

Established in 2016 by Susan and Charles Hauser to provide scholarships to students in Forsyth County

The Larry Schreiber Memorial Scholarship Fund

The Larry Schreiber Memorial Scholarship was established in 2020 by the Schreiber family and friends to provide scholarships to graduating high school seniors who will play sports in college.  Applicants must reside in the Foundation's service area.

The Winston-Salem Foundation Education Grant

Established in 2004 by the division of the John L. Gilmer Loan Fund to provide scholarships to traditional age students in Forsyth County

The Winston-Salem Foundation Scholarship

Established in 2007 by The Winston-Salem Foundation to provide scholarships to graduating high school seniors in Forsyth County

Thomas E. Shown, MD Scholarship Fund

Established in 2006 by Dr. Thomas E. Shown to provide scholarships to students (21 years old or above) from the counties of Davie, Forsyth, Surry, Wilkes, and Yadkin

Tommy L. and Patricia B. Hickman Scholarship Fund

Established in 2016 by Tommy L. and Patricia B. Hickman to provide scholarships to students in Forsyth County
