The Sarah Parnell Philpot Scholarship was established in 2023 by Laura Philpot to provide scholarships to traditional and/or non-traditional age students who attended West Davidson High School in Davidson County, N.C.
Established in 2009 by Bethene L. Hutchens, in memory of her husband, Sergeant Mickey Hutchens, who served as a police officer with the Winston-Salem Police Department for 27 years and was killed in the line of duty. This scholarship may provide two awards each year; one to a graduating high school senior from a Forsyth County High School who is a dependent child of a first responder in Forsyth or Davidson counties, and one award to a graduating high school senior from Forbush High School in Yadkin County.
Established by Steven D. and Sonja M. Southern in 2022 to support students who attended high school in Forsyth County, NC and reside in North Carolina to attend a nursing program at a two or four-year college, university, technical school, or a diploma nursing school seeking a degree in nursing.
Established by Stephen L. Williams and friends in 2022 on the occasion of his 55th birthday to provide scholarships for African American residents of Forsyth County N.C. who will attend a post-secondary Historically Black College or University (HBCU).
The Larry Schreiber Memorial Scholarship was established in 2020 by the Schreiber family and friends to provide scholarships to graduating high school seniors who will play sports in college. Applicants must reside in the Foundation's service area.
