On Wednesday, November 13, The Women’s Fund of Winston-Salem held its 19th annual luncheon celebration at the Benton Convention Center, where nearly 400 friends and members of the Fund gathered to support efforts so local women and girls can have access to the resources they need to feel safe, pursue their dreams, and thrive. The luncheon theme was All People Thriving—No Exceptions.
The Women’s Fund supports organizations implementing programs that address the challenges women face in achieving economic security so that all women and girls have access to equitable opportunities. Its unique membership model enables members to pool their financial resources to make grants to support women and girls in our community. Members also participate in the grantmaking process by voting on the organizations and programs that will receive funding.
The Fund congratulates nine local nonprofits receiving $15,000 grants, for a total of $135,000 in grants made in 2024:

Today, the Fund's unique membership model engages a diverse group of several hundred passionate women who pool our resources of time, talent, and treasure to advance the Fund's mission through grantmaking, research, and advocacy.
We share the belief that all women and girls in Forsyth County should have equal opportunities and the skills and resources to be independent, self-sufficient, and contributing members of the community.
