A Recent Promotion

Serving on our Marketing & Communications team since 2018, we’re excited to announce that Taylor Hayes was promoted to Director, Strategic Marketing and Communications this summer. In this role, Hayes drives our key messaging and narrative strategy to position the Foundation as a key partner in making Forsyth County a place where everyone is thriving.

Welcoming New Staff

Nate Jordan joins the Foundation as Controller, where he will work with our Finance team to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the Foundation’s financial systems. He brings 14 years of public accounting experience, having most recently served as a Principal at Bernard Robinson and Company. Nate maintains a CPA license and holds a Master of Accounting from UNC-Chapel Hill. We’re excited to have him join our team!

Phil Bastron, our new Philanthropic Advisor, joins our Development and Donor Services team to help cultivate meaningful relationships with existing and prospective Foundation donors. With more than a decade of nonprofit experience, including roles as a development officer with Pheasants Forever and Wake Forest University, Phil brings a wealth of expertise to his new role. Phil holds a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of St. Thomas (MN) and a master's in public policy from the University of Minnesota. We look forward to the impact his dedication to philanthropy will bring to our community!

Todd Slate Retiring

After 33 dedicated years serving on our Finance team, we share the bittersweet news that Todd Slate will retire from the Foundation in April 2025. As Vice President, Finance, Todd has successfully overseen our financial operations and strategic investments to ensure the Foundation can positively impact our community both now and in the future. We are thankful for Todd’s continued leadership as we make plans to hire and shepherd a new team member into this critical role over the next few months. Please join us in celebrating Todd’s years of service and well-deserved retirement!
