How to Support Communities in Uvalde and Buffalo

Many in our community are seeking ways to help the communities affected by tragic shootings in Uvalda, TX and Buffalo, NY. Below we have gathered a list of community foundations who are leading efforts, although we recognize that many organizations are working to provide support.

SUPPORT FOR BUFFALO

The Greater Buffalo Community Foundation launched the Buffalo Together Community Response Fund to support the survivors of the deceased and those directly affected by the shooting on May 14.

SUPPORT FOR UVALDE

The San Antonio Area Foundation is partnering with the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country to support the community of Uvalde after the shooting on May 24:

• Uvalde Strong Fund — a relief fund for victims, their families, and others affected by the shooting
• Uvalde Strong Survivors Fund — direct financial assistance to the survivors of the deceased and those directly affected by this tragedy
