Foundation Announces November Community Grants

The Winston-Salem Foundation announces 16 Community Grants totaling $301,358 that will touch the lives of many living in Forsyth County. This support is made possible by donors to the Foundation’s unrestricted funds and other flexible funds. Grants were awarded to organizations in the following program areas: arts and culture, education, human services, and public interest.

  • Bookmarks – $12,688 for staff restructuring
  • Financial Pathways of the Piedmont – $25,000 to hire an interim chief executive officer
  • GreeNest – $25,000 for an executive director
  • Horizons Residential Care Center – $17,500 for a resident communications reassessment and program restructuring
  • HUSTLE Winston-Salem – $15,000 for interim executive director and administrative staff
  • iCan House Services – $17,500 for a program coordinator for a third year
  • IFB Solutions – $25,000 for staff training and coaching
  • Korner's Folly Foundation – $25,000 for a campaign coordinator
  • Kyndall Project – $500 for a life skills program hosted by youth and adults
  • Moji Coffee and More – $25,000 for a general manager/executive director
  • Piedmont Craftsmen    – $25,000 for a development relations coordinator
  • Piedmont Triad Regional Council – $3,000 to conduct a housing needs assessment for justice-involved individuals
  • The Centers for Exceptional Children – $16,500 for staff development
  • The Forsyth Promise    – $50,000 to support the Forsyth County Cradle to Career partnership
  • Triad Restorative Justice – $3,970 to develop human resource tools
  • YWCA of Winston-Salem/Forsyth County – $14,700 for a vice president of advancement for a third year
