The Winston-Salem Foundation announces 9 Community Grants totaling $233,095 that will touch the lives of many living in Forsyth County. This support is made possible by donors to the Foundation’s unrestricted funds, flexible funds, and the Next Century Fund.
- 88.5FM/WFDD Public Radio – $5,880 for a full-time education programs coordinator for a third year
- ABC of NC Child Development Center – $17,000 for a full-time controller for a second year
- Experiment in Self-Reliance – $38,000 to support the Building Blocks program for a third year
- Forsyth County – $17,500 for the Stepping Up Process to End Recidivism project for a third year
- Goler Community Development Corporation – $75,000 for community development projects
- Smart Start of Forsyth County – $26,600 for a full-time development officer for a second year
- Virtuous Women In Sisterhood – $450 to conduct a domestic violence conference
- Wake Forest University Health Sciences – $20,165 for a dementia education coordinator for a second year
- Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools – $32,500 to support the school choice survey
