Foundation Now Accepting Scholarship Applications For 2024-2025 School Year

The Winston-Salem Foundation is now accepting applications for our scholarship program for the 2024-2025 academic year. Deadlines are April 1 for most merit-based scholarships and July 1 for financial need-based scholarships.  

The Foundation has more than 150 scholarship funds, and thanks to generous donors, we will be granting more than $1.5 million this year to students from Forsyth, Davidson, Davie, Stokes, Surry, Wilkes, and Yadkin Counties. Students can qualify with a wide range of GPAs and interests, and they may be attending community colleges, colleges, and universities.  

Most scholarships are accessed through our online One-Stop Scholarship Application. Students are automatically considered for the scholarships for which they are eligible—with just one application.

We are currently celebrating the 100^th anniversary of our student aid program, which was established in October 1923. We estimate that more than 18,000 local students have been supported in their pursuit of higher education through Foundation scholarships.
