1. Who are/were your role models for "giving back" to your community and how did they influence you?

My role model was my mother. She always taught us it is important to give and expect nothing in return. She went on to say if you give and by chance you received something back it is greater than any expectation because you gave and expected nothing in return.

2. What issues impacting women & girls are you most passionate about? Do you have any personal connection to any of these issues?

I am passionate about helping every girl or woman get a good education and become self reliant.

3. What would you tell other women and girls about The Women's Fund to encourage them to get involved?
It is a place where women care about women and a place to grow and meet other women who have a passion for our growth.

4. Tell us a little bit about yourself:
I am the CEO of the YWCA of Winston Salem. I have been in this job for 16 years. I am orginally from Lenior NC. I am very involved in the community serving on serval boards. I also work diligently at my church where I serve on the Usher Board, Sunday School Teacher and Chair of Trustee Ministry.
