Youth Grantmakers in Action Grants

Youth Grantmakers in Action (YGA) of The Winston-Salem Foundation makes grants to youth-directed projects that address community issues and challenges in Forsyth County.

YGA, a diverse group of youth ages 15-18 from across Forsyth County, comes together to gain leadership experience, represent youth in their community, voice their opinions, and make grants to youth-directed projects that address community issues and challenges in Forsyth County. YGA grant applications are due in the fall of each year, and grant decisions are made in the spring. View previous YGA grant awards

YGA IS ACCEPTING GRANT APPLICATIONS THROUGH JANUARY 31!

YGA is currently accepting grant applications for youth-created and youth-directed projects in its 2017-2018 grant cycle.  We are pleased to be offering over $7,000 in total grantmaking funds this year, thanks to a $5,000 gift from the Z. Smith Reynolds Foundation to support YGA's grantmaking efforts!  Deadline for applications is Wednesday, January 31 at 5:00pm. Grant recipients will be announced at a YGA Grants Celebration event this spring.
