Meet our Members

  Lynn Brenner Eisenberg

1. Who are/were your role models for "giving back" to your community and how did they influence you?
My parents and extended family taught us to give back to the community that has been good to us. I grew up with shining examples of philanthropy. We lived with the knowlege and the examples, so helping others became a way of life.

2. What issues impacting women & girls are you most passionate about? Do you have any personal connection to any of these issues?
I want to see the positive development and understanding that women have a voice. I want to find ways to help them become secure and sound in their actions and reactions. I want women to help men understand the importance of standing up to be counted as well as respected.

3. What would you tell other women and girls about The Women's Fund to encourage them to get involved?
Let's work together to face the issues of today to create a better tomorrow for all of us. The more voices heard can impact the changes needed to construct positive solutions.

4. Tell us a little bit about yourself:
My joy in life is family and friends. My husband, Barry and I celebrated our 40th Anniversary in April. We adore our daughter and son, as well as our fantastic 3 grandchildren. I have enjoyed over thirty years of community work where I have established meaningful friendships and now count many with whom I have worked dear and trusted friends.  My family set the example and taught me to be Board of The Women's Fund, The Executive Board of The Women's Council, The Boards of Brenner Children's Hospital, The Winston-Salem Museum, Summit School and the Board of Visitor's of The University of North Carolina School of the Arts. I enjoy serving on many community committees and stay involved with organizations by creating special events.
